About the random presentation order generator
A presentation order generator creates a complete speaker list for a class, workshop, or meeting. It gives every entered presenter a position. When time slots are enabled, the schedule advances by the same number of minutes for each person. This helps you plan a session, but it is not a countdown timer and does not track when talks actually begin or end.
How to use the presentation order
- Add at least two presenter names, one per line. Include team names instead if groups will present together.
- Choose Start time and Minutes per person. Keep Include presentation time slots checked for a timed schedule.
- Click Set speaking order. Copy or download the list and share it with the presenters before the session.

The names are shuffled first, then consecutive ten-minute start times are attached to the resulting order.
When to use it
Class presentations
Set an order without relying on alphabetical names or voluntary sign-ups. Check who is present before creating the final schedule.
Workshops and demos
Give each participant or team the same planned slot length. Include setup and transition time in the duration you choose.
Meeting contributions
Create an ordered round of updates or short talks. Turn off time slots when you need a speaking list without specific start times.

How the randomization works
The tool uses a Fisher–Yates shuffle driven by the browser’s crypto.getRandomValues() source. It walks through the list and exchanges each entry with a randomly chosen eligible position. The settings for this tool then determine how the shuffled entries become an order, selection, or set of assignments.
Entries and results stay in this page’s memory. This site does not upload your input or keep a saved history. A new generation replaces the displayed result; copy or download anything you want to keep before reloading or leaving the page.
Frequently asked questions
Can I give different presenters different durations?
Not in this version. Every slot uses the same chosen duration. Edit the exported schedule if some presentations need more time.
Does the schedule include breaks?
Breaks are not inserted automatically. The duration can include short transitions, but planned breaks need to be added to your saved schedule yourself.
Can I pin a presenter to the first slot?
No. The generator shuffles all entries. Keep a fixed speaker outside the input list and add them to your final schedule manually if needed.
Does it run a timer for each talk?
No. The output is a planned order with start times. It does not provide live timing, notifications, or calendar integration.
